The Aliwan Fiesta ended with a blast last night, or shall I say early this morning at the Aliw Theater in CCP complex. It was almost 12midnight when the last contingent finished their performance, almost 1AM when the winners were announced. And here are the list of the winners…

Aliwan Fiesta 2006 Best in Float: Laoag City, Ilocos Norte
Reyna ng Aliwan: Baguio City
Aliwan Fiesta Streetdance Competition:

10th Place: Halad Festival of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato
9th Place: Kahilwayan Festival of Sta. Barabara, Iloilo
8th Place: Pamulinawen Festival of Laoag Iloilo Norte
7th Place: Tultugan Festival of Maasin, Iloilo
6th Place: Pasalamat Festival, of Pagadian City, Zamboanga
5th Place: Padang padang Festival of Maguindanao
4th Place: Babaylan Festival of Bago City, Negros Occidental
3rd Place: Pintados de Passi, Passi City Iloilo
2nd Place: Dinagyang Festival, Iloilo city
Champion: Lumad Basakanon of Sinulog Festival, Cebu City

The Best in Float winner will take home 500,000 pesos, while the Gand champion in the streetdancing category will receive 1 Million Pesos.
