2006 ASEAN Tourism Forum

Starting this Friday, Davao City plays host to the 2006 ASEAN Tourism Forum from Jan 13~21, 2005.

In anticipation of this event, funds have been allocated by the local government in order to help in the preparations and further beautification of the City. This will be good for the city even after the ATF has concluded, as these enhancements will further bolster the City in it’s aim to position itself as a premier tourism destination evidenced by its pristine beaches, mountain resorts, ease of travel and reasonable rates.

Representatives and Delegates from the 10 Nation member ASEAN are expected to arrive and participate in this forum.

The aims of the ATF are:

- Project ASEAN as an attractive, multifaceted single destination
- Create and increase awareness of ASEAN as a highly competitive regional tourist destination in the APAC.
- Attract more tourists to individual ASEAN member countries or combination of them.
- Promote intra-ASEAN travel.
- Strengthen cooperation among the various sectors of the ASEAN tourism industry.

Special to the ATF will be the TRAVEX (Travel Exchange) at the NCCC Mall Activity center. This will be the venue where traders/buyers/sellers from the different countries (not limited to ASEAN members) can meet and build relationships.

Hi,
since long time I go for my days in Indonesia, in the wonderful island of Bali.
I just love that place. Maybe because of the sun and the beaches, maybe because of the pure sea water. I don`t know. What I know for sure is that I want to do somethig to show this love.
My project is to collect documents and pictures about Bali.
With such material i want to build a website with travel information for those of you that wanna go to Bali, inclusive bali holiday and more.
