The Original AA Barbeque
The Original AA Barbeque is located along Salinas Drive at Lahug, Cebu City. It is famous for its barbeque dishes mainly because it is not the type where you would sit down first, call a waiter, then order your meal. The first step that you should do is to order at the counter where you could see all the food there which is not yet cooked but they’re already marinated. However, you will not order the rice and the drinks at the counter. Then, the next thing to do is to get yourself a table and call the waiter to order rice, soup, and or drinks. Garlic rice there is served in a platter. So it’s either garlic rice for all or not. Then, plain rice is served also in a platter but you have the option to decide how many cups do you want. If it’s your first time in Cebu you should order for a Puso. A puso is a serving of rice enclosed in weaved leaves. It’s size is about a half cup of rice so if you’re a rice type of person then you should order for more than one puso. Also, you should try their iced tea. It is served in a pitcher and it does not look like iced tea in first glance since it looks like a milk shake.
The Original AA Barbeque is also very much affordable. Meals for a group of five would cost around PhP 550++. If you’ll be visiting Metro Cebu make sure that you’ll be able to go out and have your food trip there.

[...] I got back from Cebu aboard Cebu Pacific’s first flight to Manila. As usual, the flight was delayed because the runway for domestic flights were under construction. According to the pilot it will take around 2 to 3 months to complete. If you haven’t traveled in ages, FYI, the terminal fee costs 200 bucks. Then, be on-guard for the killer carts. I’ve experienced a slight injury this morning while I was waiting for my bag to pop out from Cebu Pacific’s baggage claim area. So, if you do not want to be injured, look at the back from time to time and forewarn the people with carts that you do not want to have an injury somewhere near your heel. I’ve already uploaded the pictures on my computer but will have to optimize it yet for web viewing. As for now, check out my recent entry at PinoyTravelBlog and go about our food tripping experience there at The Original AA Barbeque. [...]

AA BBQ is a great place but I went a little bit overboard and ate too many oysters which ended up getting me a bit sick.

Well, one doesn’t have to travel hundred of miles to have taste of the AA barbecue. They have a branch in Greenhills shopping center.
welcome back to manila! and thanks for the tip at the domestic airport. I’ll keep that in mind when it’s my time to go to Boracay next week.

[...] When we were on our way to The Orginal AA Barbeque, we saw a KTV along Escario Street and it’s name is Wuzzup. And I really do not get how the hell to create a link between KTV and Wuzzup. [...]

Thanks for your tip. I was able to try Original AA - the one near Pier 1. The barbeque was okay but what I really loved was the fried ubod served with sweet and sour sauce. My total bill was only 54 pesos - really affordable which included one cup of rice, coke light in can, a piece of pork bbq and the fried ubod. It was my first time to eat fried ubod I can’t forget it. It’s really good! The ladies room has really small cubicles and not well-maintained but over-all, I would love to go back and try more of their foods.
