The Flowers of Baguio
Another Baguio post? Don’t worry this is not about the SM City Mall I wrote about in my previous post. Although I still managed to drop by the said mall in my recent trip to Baguio last month, I would focus now more on one of Baguio’s best tourist spot where you can see all sorts of greenery in the form of pine trees and of course the different species of flowers.
Baguio wouldn’t have its Panabengga festival (flower festival) if not for its numerous flower species. And where can you find such variety of flowers? Where else but inside the Camp John Hay property. The following is quoted from the Camp John Hay website.
“Developed in the early 1900’s by the United States Armed Forces as a rest and recreation getaway for their troops, Camp John Hay rests amidst 246 hectares of Baguio’s most beautiful tract of prime land. Today, it is enjoyed by visitors to this cool city in the mountains, dubbed as the summer capital of the Philippines.”
Camp John Hay currently boast of its two major attractions, the Manor Hotel and the Golf Course. The Manor Hotel makes your stay inside the CJH vicinity a pleasant one with its first class hotel services. While the Golf course is a haven for golf enthusiast where one can enjoy the sports and the Baguio greenery at its best.
As for the flowers, just enjoy these pictures I took while visiting Camp John Hay on a business trip.
