La Paz Beach, Laoag
La Paz beach is situated North of Laoag City. The half an hour drive is not an easy one but well worth the effort.

A dramatic scenery out of Mad Max (some of the scenes of this movie were filmed here) awaits you upon arrival. More a desert than a beach the whole area is wild looking with huge and impressive dunes.
I am not a surfer but it looks like the perfect place for good surf. Huge and wild waves abound.

Be sure to bring your own food & drinks if you want to discover the neighbourhood. There are no accommodations and except from a few scattered houses there is no sign of life.
Where: La Paz Beach. 30 minutes driving North of Laoag City
My rating: 6/10
Dramatic scenery but basically a desert. A bit out of the way. No accomodations.
Nearby: Laoag City with the Sinking Bell Tower and St. William’s Cathedral.
