Starting today, January 7, 2009, Cebu Pacific Air will remove fuel and insurance surcharges for all domestic flight bookings. This is good news to all passengers looking to travel with CEB domestic flights.

Candice Iyog, CEB spokesman, said, “We are committed to offering the public the most affordable fares coupled with the newest planes. In fact, we have made air travel a viable option for those who would normally travel by bus or ferry. We will continue to give EveryJuan more reasons to fly as we expect to take delivery of six brand new aircraft in 2009.”

The removal of fuel and insurance surcharges will now allow passengers to easily compare airfare with the fares of buses and ferries.

The airline also cuts its fuel and insurance surcharge for select international routes. CEB’s Manila-Bangkok and Clark-Bangkok one-way surcharges are slashed from $80 to $50 and $80 to $60, respectively.

Moreover, CEB’s Manila-Osaka one-way surcharges are lowered from $105 to $100 and Manila-Hong Kong surcharges are reduced from $45 to $40 per way.

The Civil Aeronautics Board ranked Cebu Pacific Air as the Number 1 domestic airline. To celebrate this honor, Cebu Pacific is offering 50,000 tickets for free. Yes, you read that right — absolutely FREE.

Like the previous years 1 peso promo, Cebu Pacific Air is once again coming out with a 1++ promo.

CEBU Pacific Air is offering a P10 one-way fare to any of its domestic destinations to celebrate its 10th year in the business.

The airline started operations on March 8, 1996. The tickets are available from March 3 to 8 — or until seats run out — for use from June 20 to Oct. 18.

Over 100,000 seats are available on all of the airline’s aircraft for this anniversary seat sale, the company said in a statement.

The P10 does not include taxes and surcharges. The tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, the airline said.

Cebu Pacific general manager Bong Mojica said the promo marks a milestone in Philippine aviation history. “Never before has an airline offered fares this low,” he said.

The P10 fare can be booked and ticketed through the website www.cebupacificair.com.
