Hello!I’m shel from usa 1st time here and just need help where to stay @ puerto. I love white beach but sounds like it’s been crowded there and it will be my 1st time to visit the place.Plan to go there on Sept.&will stay for 3days&2nights.No problem with budget but I just to relax and have a great time with my bestfriend.You can reply in my email shelymd212yahoo.com Thanks a lot!

hi! i’m planning to take my wife in Galera on June 2-4 but we are on a very tight budget.

Do you guys know any lodging in White Beach that would accomodate us for this budget (500-1000 Php a day) ? Clean bathroom and functional aircon would be quite necessary.

This would gonna be our first time there and it’s really hard looking for the cheapest accomodation on the internet.

were planning to go to puerto galera but i really had a hard time selecting between sandbar & coco beach, sandbar offer a less expensive stay than coco beach but i have read a view bad comments on sandbar…can anyone help me out to decide…were going there to have our first out of town trip with my husband & to have our honeymoon(maybe) also….help me…thanks!!!

Hi Batik! If you ask me, RED SUN in Sabang is great. In Talipanan, try MARINERS and eat at LUCA’S. Tamarraw Beach in Aninuan (right next to Talipanan) is also nice, clean, and affordable.

We just came back from Puerto Galera (our 4th trip this month). We stayed almost everywhere - Talipanan, White Beach, and Sabang. We are in the process of creating a video about Puerto which will be aired around Asia and North America.

When you’re in Talipanan, stay in Mariners. It’s great there. I STILL maintain our position about MENGIES - it is BAD.I dont know about other people but when we were there it was definitely CRAPPY. There were spiders in the toilet, no water, and cockroaches on the walls.

When you’re in Sabang, Red SUN is the best!

IN white beach, there are a lot of choices but it can get really crowded.

MENGIE’S IS DEFINITELY AN AWESOME PLACE TO STAY AT!

my bf and i just went there last MAY10-12,2008 and we absolutely enjoyed our vacation at talipanan..the rooms are just plain,simple yet comfortable,relaxing and clean! i’ve not seen even a single cockroach or spider webs whatsoever!i like it much better than those of the others because their rooms would make you feel more of the vacation at the beach than those of hotel type..and no doubt mengie’s dishes are really yummy and the seafoods are fresh that is why even those who stay at other resorts eat at mengie’s!we also love luca’s pizza!the best pizza we ever tasted located at the far end of talipanan beach, overall it was an awesome and the sweetest summer ever we had so far,the beach is lovely,the atmosphere is relaxing,away from the crowd,you can breathe in fresh air, water activities are also available,you can have a body massage by the beach,relax at the hammocks under coconut trees with the view of the sea while reading your favorite books,have your henna tattoo and your hair braid,you can have all the sun and the sea!talipanan is really great!

DON’T STAY in Mengies or White Sands

We came there to relax and we only got overcharged and we suffered the worst accommodation. We have stayed in so many cheap places in the Phils, but this one is just plain BAD.

may 10, 2008. my first time in puerto galera. we went to mengie’s in talipanan. hey, if you’re looking for 5-star hotel amenities, don’t come here and tell me i’m wrong. the place is not perfect cos in the first place, it’s not a hotel no but i would surely recommend this for those looking for a budget yet comfortable, relaxing and peaceful place to stay in puerto galera.
the best sa mengie’s! super affordable. food and room. ms. marge offered us an aircon room for only P1,500/night. we were 8 and so we got 2 rooms. the best food too! per meal per pax would range P80-P120 but if you’re on a budget you can bring your own food para tipid talaga.
a relaxing full body massage by the beach is only P200. banana boat ride is only P200 per pax for 20 fun, fun, fun minutes! sayang. parasailing dapat kami ng sis ko kaya lang medyo di na kaya ng budget. it’s P1,200 kung mag isa ka lang and P2k pag 2 kayo. concert pa kami at P5/song. nabulabog yata namin ang katahimikan ng talipanan sa mga sintunado naming mga boses. ok lang. kesa naman sa white beach no.. hehehe.
over all, excellent ang stay namin. ms. marge, her husband, mang meng, their nieces, kathleen and the debutant (forgot his name, sorry naman), were so accommodating and helpful. ang bilis ng oras talaga when you’re enjoying. kanis! text ms. marge at 0920-4032173 and sir meng 0920-2464396. they will take care of everything for you.
