During our trip to Cebu, we spent a day in the city. There arenât a lot of tourist spots to visit in the city so the next best thing is to try the countryâs only sky attraction, the Skywalk Extreme and the Edge Coaster at the Crown Regency Hotel & Towers.

One Saturday just last month, a supposed-to-be 2-hour drive to Batangas turned out to be one of the worst driving experience of my life. I live in a Quezon City apartment near UP and have a job in Eastwood, and every week I go home to Batangas and my family. There wasnât much fuzz with that a year ago when SLEX was still not under ârenovation,â but now, trying to go home at the same time of day as I did before makes me wish for the nth time I didnât have to work in the city–but of course, I have to. So after that Saturday wherein I was caught up in traffic for 6 hours, I told myself something needs to be done and I just have to modify my travel habits to cope up with the current road situation. Now, after four weeks of experimentation, I might have just found my answers. For those people who has the same route(or at least parts of it) as I do and who wants to retain that pleasant driving experience they had right after learning how to drive and before discovering that the city is not the race track we imagine it to be: read on.

And speaking of paranoia, whenever this place is mentioned, fear and pessimism occupies everyone [...]

Outside the gates of University of The Philippines Los Baños is a place called Grove that winds down to Lopez Avenue all the way to Crossing where the Manila-Sta. Cruz (Laguna) crossroad is. Last year, i briefly wrote about St. Raphael’s feast day falling on the 24th of October…that is today. Yes, inspite of milenyo’s aftermath and still out of electric power, for the past nine nights, the residents (the devout catholics at least!) of Brgy. Payawin, Gubat, Sorsogon (my birthplace) has been religiously attending the novena and [...]
