Isdaan Restaurant and Tacsiyapo Wall at Tarlac
It’s actually a theme park with a restaurant :-p . That’s how I see it.
First thing that will catch your attention: the giant giant Mayan/Aztec-themed sculptures along the hi-way at Gerona, Tarlac. There are giant fish too hanging from fishing-rods.
Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll find floating bahay kubos for dining. There’s a lot to see around the place. There are some giant urinating/spitting monkeys. It’s a multi-player game where the players try their luck staying dry. The winner (the one who stay dry until the end) gets 1 kilo of fish cooked any way the winner wants.
The tacsiyapo wall was featured many times on TV and on print. Guests buy a mug or plate (P8-15) or even a functioning TV (P1,500). Once you’ve chosen your “weapon”, take a deep breath, then throw your weapon unto the wall, break it into pieces and release your tension along with it.
That makes for a theme park, doesn’t it?
And then there’s the food, I almost forgot. A whole lot of comfort food, really. Seafoods, grilled and cholesterol-packed goodies, veggies! Ah, perfect for a stop-over on a trip between the metro and the north.

The restaurant is a dangerous place to go to. They have ramps and walkways that are bamboo poles that have been tied together which becomes very slippery when it rains. My wife and niece both slipped this afternoon on the bamboo ramp from the floating dampa to the concrete walkway, The manager’s limp justification was that other customers have also previously slipped on the same ramp.
THEN WHY HAVE NO CORRECTIVE ACTION BEEN TAKEN BY MANAGEMENT? aRE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING? A SIMPLE RUBBER MAT OR GUARDRAIL COULD PREVENT THE SAME TYPE OF INCIDENT IN THE FUTURE. WE ARE NOT GOING TO RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT AND WE ARE GOING TO TELL OUR FRIENDS NOT TO GO THERE TOO.
