What I mean is the prices are getting higher because of the small supply nowadays. Farmer also considers the weather if they would plant yacon for that month, because yacon is very sensitive. Some farmers just decide to plant other plants instead of yacon.

No, prices varies. yacon fruits are now expensive because of small amount of harvest. And what do you expect, in manila they have to pay for the shipping. Yacon fruits are heavy, so they shipping is a bit pricey. and then they have to gain profit. Maybe thats why it turned out to 200 per kilo there.

youre lucky to buy yacon at a low price coz hir in our town, that costs 200 per kilo..omg!!people are taking advantage of yacon’s benefits and they are selling it over priced!:(

Anyone know where I can buy some yacon crowns in Baguio so that I can plant and raise my own. After eating yacon for about 6 weeks when I went for my last checkup my blood sugar was 108, for the last 4-5 years has not been below 147. My Dr. has taken me off metformin and I now only take one diabetic med now which is now saving me over P2,000.00 per month
