Lucidel Resort: A Quiet Hideaway
If ever you find yourself on the road to Sta. Cruz, Laguna; somewhere in Calauan (Brgy. Masiit) just off the road (turn right on a not very noticeable dirt road with a dilapidated sign) a few blocks after Samaral Restaurant is a nice hideaway.
Located in the middle of rice fields and animal farm is Lucidel Fishing Resort and Restaurant. Quiet and breezy, cool water and nice swimming pools (they have several separate ones: 6, 5, 4 ft deep respectively + 1 knee-deep kiddie pool).
I can’t say much about the food though, we just went their swimming. But I guess they are serving the classic pinoy food, inihaw and stuff.
For those interested. The swimming entrance fee is P50 for adults, P40 pesos for kids and a P500 if you want to avail of one kubo for the day. Not bad eh?

Dear Ms. Villegas,
I am a concerned friend of one of your regular customers at Lucidel. Unfortunately, last March 4 or 5 (maybe their last visit to your place), my friend’s car left rear window was smashed and her CD writer was stolen!
They only discovered this ( you have no security guards at all?!) upon their departure from your place at around 0845 p.m. Initial agreement with the old man ( who owns the place?) was that he will reimburse the damaged window. But when we returned to seek reimbursement, he simply changed his mind ( according to his “manugang” daw you are not liable!). Is this the way you treat your customers? We would appreciate a reply. Yours sincerely

We had just read your letter yesterday at 11:30 am
Lucidel Fishing Resort and Restaurant is apologetic for what happend to your friend last March 4,2007.
There was a settlemenrt between your friend and the management last week (04-03-07)
all the expenses of your friend were reinbursed
everything is fine now, so there is nothing to talk about.
The Management.
