Maybe out of boredom, there is this crazy idea that comes out. It is one of the few places that I’ve never been to in Cebu and I’m already a year here in this island paradise. I’m tired of hearing car honks and breathing smoke in the city streets. I [...]
It was definitely my first boat ride in Cebu and my first time meeting some strangers that would become my ultimate barkada in the Queen City. A balikbayan forumer came home and promised a treat that the forumers based in Cebu would never forget. Island hopping from Mactan Island to Olango Island and back and [...]
One Saturday just last month, a supposed-to-be 2-hour drive to Batangas turned out to be one of the worst driving experience of my life. I live in a Quezon City apartment near UP and have a job in Eastwood, and every week I go home to Batangas and my family. There wasn’t much fuzz with that a year ago when SLEX was still not under “renovation,” but now, trying to go home at the same time of day as I did before makes me wish for the nth time I didn’t have to work in the city–but of course, I have to. So after that Saturday wherein I was caught up in traffic for 6 hours, I told myself something needs to be done and I just have to modify my travel habits to cope up with the current road situation. Now, after four weeks of experimentation, I might have just found my answers. For those people who has the same route(or at least parts of it) as I do and who wants to retain that pleasant driving experience they had right after learning how to drive and before discovering that the city is not the race track we imagine it to be: read on.

The sudden decision that I made affected the schedule of my whole week for I wanted to escape the urban jungle the soonest time possible, under [...]
With its inauguration last June 13, 2007, the old Mandurriao airport of Iloilo was finally decommissioned by the Air Transportation Office and moved to its new facility in the town of Cabatuan, some 20 kilometers away from the old airport.
With the promise of economic growth that will bring upon this region, the new Iloilo Airport [...]

Two years ago, I couldn’t believe that I crossed for what they say, one of the most treacherous highways in the country. Only a few years ago, during the Estrada Administration, the only thing that you see here are bombshells, mortars, evacuating people and guns, guns and more guns. Crossfire was everywhere, and media [...]
