10 Activities To Do in Apulit Island, El Nido, Palawan

We recently visited one of the islands being managed by El Nido Resorts in El Nido, Palawan.  The 3D2N (3 days, 2 nights) getaway was filled with activities, aside from the sumptuous buffets in the island.

Where in the world is Apulit Island

Apulit Island is located in the town of Taytay, Northern Palawan.

The island offers eco-adventure activities. There are several outdoor activities you can do here like climbing a 60-meter limestone cliff, hiking, cave tour, and cliff jumping.

How to get there: Apulit Island

1. Manila to El Nido

Apulit Island is one of the island resorts under El Nido Resorts.  A packaged tour is offered by the resort and a small aircraft, a 48-seater ART plane by AirSwift.

The airport terminal of AirSwift is at the NAIA Terminal 2.

AirSwift offers daily flights from Manila, Cebu, and Clark to the new airport in El Nido, the Lio Airport.

Travel time from Manila to Lio Airport is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. AirSwift aircraft are new and smells nice.

2. From Lio Airport to Taytay Port

From the airport, a van ride will take you to the Taytay port. This will take about 1.5 hours.

3. From Taytay Port to Apulit Island

From the port, a boat ride will take you to the island and this will be an hour if you take a regular boat, or about half an hour if a speed boat is available.

ALL THESE transportation and transfers are offered as a bundle by El Nido Resorts.

If you plan to do it ala-DIY, it might be cheaper, but it would take you longer to reach the island.

10 Things To Do in Apulit Island

There are several activities that you can do at the island resort. You just need to ask the front desk for the schedule because these activities are done in batches.

Aside from the regular activities in the sea, I suggest that you try cliff diving, rappelling, and coracle boat ride.

But if you like to watch and enjoy lots of marine life, snorkeling is the best activity here. It is very relaxing activity. It is a joy to see full-grown corals, witness school of fish and much more.

If you just want to relax before the dinner is served, you can watch the sunset in the western part of the resort.
