PH Driver’s License validity now Five (5) Years

Good news for all drivers and conductors, Philippine’s driver’s license validity have been extended to five (5) years.

This is one of the programs of the Duterte Administration to ease and make government transaction faster, specifically for the Land Transportation Office.

Formerly, you need to renew your license every three years.

And in the current setup, drivers line up in LTO centers and it takes a longer time to get a new license or apply for renewal.

To address this issue, the new administration promised to apply changes, and the immediate solution to extend the validity of certain documents obtained from the government.

The driver’s license is the first move. We are expecting that the passport will come next.
