The Cuisine of Quezon, a book launch by Milada Dealo-Valde

We met this fine lady in Lucban Quezon during the Electrolux DiscoverE at the 2013 Pahiyas Festival. I call her the Queen of Lucban, she owns a little cafe and bakery in town, and she loves to entertain friends and cook for them. During our little chat over buffet lunch at Coffee Klatch in Lucban, she shared that she is going to launch a book this year.

Mrs. Milada Dealo-Valde and I met again in Shangri-la Edsa last week and eagerly showed to us the digital copy of her upcoming book. It is called The Cuisine of Quezon – it will be a compilation of all local dishes originally cooked in Lucban, using original mix like coconut.

One of the famous and most ordered dish is the Luban Hardinera, it is known to be the favorite dish of former President Manuel Quezon. It is served and prepared by all families in Lucban during fiestas and special occasions. Lucban Longganisa will be featured as well.

The book will be launched next month at an exclusive hotel in Resorts World Manila.
