Planning to go to Brazil? Well, say goodbye to connecting flights anytime soon as negotiation to allow direct flights from any point of our country to any point of Brazil and vice versa is currently being finalized.
PAL (Philippines Airlines) spearheaded this negotiation as a part of its on-going route expansion plans. Before this, the legacy airline has announced that 6 new destinations will be added to their belt which includes Kuala Lumpur, Australia (Brisbane, Darwin and Perth), China (Guangzhou) and UAE (Abu Dhabi).
The agreement between the two countries will be overseen by the Philippine air panel which comprises of representatives from different government agencies including CAB (Civil Aeronautics Board). If everything went well, this is will be the second agreement that the panel will close for the year following the signed agreement for daily flights to Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to direct flights, the air agreement includes daily flight schedules for the chosen airline of both countries, unlimited air traffic rights and permission for PAL to fly passengers to a third destination from any point of Brazil.
