And what’s the good news about it? Airphil Express will no fly to Batanes!

Airphil Express will start the Batanes domestic flights beginning May 1, 2013.

Airphil Express, PH fastest-growing low-cost carrier will soon be launching flights to Basco, Batanes. As a result of public public clamor for a new gateway to this island-province.

The next domestic destination of APX, is located in the northernmost part of the archipelago and considered the smallest province in the Philippines. Batanes is a most sought-after tourist destination in the country today.

Batanes flights will depart from Terminal 3, during Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5:05AM, arriving Basco at 6:50AM. Return flights will be on the same days, departing Basco at 8:40AM, arriving Manila at 10:20am.

Batanes is the latest addition to the 33 the total number of PAL and APX domestic code-share flights. Presently, these includes: Busuanga, Butuan, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Calbayog, Catarman, Caticlan, Cotabato, Dipolog, Kalibo (operated by both PR and 2P), Dumaguete, Legaspi, Masbate, Naga, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Surigao, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Pagadian, Jolo, Tawi – Tawi, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Tagbilaran and Manila.
