Wowowee Host Appointed Tourism Envoy

Following up Abe’s  post about Wowowee emerging as one of the top attractions for balikbayans and OFWs, the show’s host Willie Revillame was recently appointed as celebrity ambassador for tourism. 

Department of Tourism Secretary  Joseph Ace Durano said that Wowowee has been helping the government in reaching the tourism  market. Revillame’s task would be to help in enticing Filipinos abroad and foreigners to visit our country by hosting Philippine tourism roadshows abroad.

Author’s note: I wonder which branch of the Philippine government would appoint Manny Pacquiao as it is rumored that he is interested to try the political ring this time?

    Wer’e are planning to go on vacation in PHIL.this coming JULY 15,of this year and my kids want’s to see WELLIE on his show WOWOWEE.And my daughter she is a fan of JUDY ANN
    SANTOS if we can see her also on your show please,she loves
    to watch JUDY ANN SANTOS movies at home if she does not have school,even though if she cannot understand TAGALOG she keep’s watching over and over especially of her movies wlth PIOLO PASCUAL.She really liked it.Hopefully our dreams

    It is fine for Willie to be a celebrity ambassador. He brings joy to all TFC subscribers- it feels i am home when i watch his show. What happened to many lives in Feb. 2005 it is not all his fault. It is crazy idea for people acting like that they made him responsible for things it is beyond his control.
